Social Media Marketing Internship - Nutrition

Overview

StackWise is hiring two Summer interns to help create interesting and informative content about nutrients found in supplements. Think Instagram carousel posts about specific forms of vitamins, email newsletters about underated nutrients like choline, YouTube shorts about popular herbs like ashwaghanda, and sharable TikTok videos about boron and specific strains of probiotics. In this role, you’ll learn about some of the most interesting nutrients on the market and how to create interesting content around them.

Internship Details

  • This role is in person. You are expected to be local to the Chattanooga area and available to work in person 3 days a week.
  • This is an unpaid internship. Lunch is included.
  • This internship is expected to last between 8-12 weeks where you’ll work 20-30 hours per week, with an estimated start date of June 1st.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work closely with the founder of StackWise, a full-stack software engineer and author of The Digestive Toolkit, the DIY guide to improving your own gut health. You’ll receive direct guidance on content strategy, messaging, and execution.

What You’ll Do

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll help identify interesting nutrition topics and turn them into social content that is engaging, useful, and visually intuitive.

  • Research topics and trends within niche health and supplement communities
  • Identify promising ingredients and emerging ideas
  • Review studies, articles, and trending conversations to pull out the most relevant findings
  • Draft simple, clear messaging that communicates key takeaways without oversimplifying
  • Organize visual references, examples, and creative assets that support each idea
  • Design social media content such as carousel posts, short-form video concepts, and other educational creative
  • Help shape content ideas for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and email newsletters

Preferred Background

  • Preferred majors: Nutrition, Biology, Biochemistry, Health Sciences, or related fields with a strong interest in nutrition, metabolism, and functional medicine.
  • Preferred experience: social media marketing, creating short form videos, brand marketing, design experience with Figma and Canva, experience using AI creative platforms like Krea, Fal or other AI image generators.
